Scouting used to be a place where children would build friendships and have fun while gaining life and survival skills through hands-on experiences.
But today, it is becoming a platform for gender ideology, with activities like “Pronoun Pairs,” Pride-themed merchandise, and internal guidance that tells leaders to keep gender dysphoria hidden from parents.
Instead of focusing on adventure, teamwork and practical skills, Scouting is being reshaped by political activism.
ParentPower, and CitizenGo were contacted by many concerned parents who were alarmed by this ideological shift.
In response, we launched a petition together urging the Scout Association to respect parental authority and stop promoting gender ideology to children.
More than 17,000 joined our call and added their name to the petition.
Recently, Christopher Joyce from CitizenGo and Tom Rogers from ParentPower visited Scouts Headquarters at Gilwell Park to personally deliver all the signatures on the petition and ensure our shared concerns were presented directly to the Scout Association’s Board of Trustees, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Scout.

While we wait to hear back from the Scout Association, CitizenGo and ParentPower will continue to do all we can to safeguard children from harmful ideologies and defend parental rights wherever they are threatened.
