Sadly, up and down the country, schools have been heavily influenced, and at times even felt pressured, by well-funded, ideologically-driven lobby groups. The most well-known and influential are groups such as Mermaids, Stonewall and Educate & Celebrate – whose director used the chilling statement regarding their purpose as ” to smash heteronormativity”.
Parents need to be increasingly aware of the influence that such lobby groups are having in schools.
