Relationships Education in primary schools and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in secondary schools will be compulsory from September 2020. There has been much written in the press and on online media that has confused concerned parents and put conscientious leaders of schools under pressure.
In order to bring some clarity, The Values Foundation has produced some helpful guides to support schools and to help parents really understand the legal situation regarding RSE.
The Parent Guide is particularly relevant to those parents who have a faith and/or to those who hold traditional family values. It is for parents of children attending faith schools AND also for parents of faith
and/traditional family values who send their children to “non-faith” schools.
