The Government does make it clear in official guidance that schools should not be partisan or partial in their treatment and addressing of political issues. Please contact us at Parent Power (and supply your phone number in private message), if you’d like one of us to contact you to discuss with you the best and most appropriate course of action to take in view of the particular circumstances and context of what the teacher said to the class.     There are no doubt hundreds of schools across the country where this sort of nonsense is happening. A lot of head teachers are just trying to get brownie points from OFSTED with this sort of indoctrination – and this school is bound to get an ‘outstanding’, regardless of the effect on the children. Parents getting together for organised withdrawals of their children is the best answer to this.
