Children’s Mental Health Week

Children’s Mental Health Week

Last week was Children’s Mental Health Week. Schools across the country were involved in lots of exciting ways. At our small independent primary school, we used a great new resource with our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes.

Our school had been operating remotely because of lockdown so we were limited in what we could do but found the ideal solution with A-life – a leading provider of Healthy Living Workshops, Fun Fitness and Alcohol & Drug Awareness sessions for primary schools.

A-Life has just launched a Mental Health Workshop as an in-school or online package. It was easy to run (simply ‘click and go’) and also really engaging for the children. It has differentiated levels for Years 1-2, Years 3-4 and Years 5-6 and covers the major topics of the RSE Mental Health Curriculum for 2020 being designed around the evidence-based 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

The A-Life promotional video below gives a brief overview of this excellent resource.

We look forward to continue helping the children to grow in resilience in the coming days.
